Blindness 01

Context blindness

Who made the introduction. What the county engineer said at the last meeting. Why a quiet contact still matters.

When that history lives in one person's memory, a handoff starts with reconstruction.

Picture a project 18 months in. The original development lead rotates to another site. The new lead opens meetings by re-asking questions the team already answered, and the counterparty notices.

The cost shows up later: a slipped sequence, a missed reference, a landowner nobody knew to call.

What Relatance does here

Orbit keeps the history of each relationship where the team can read it. Kosmos turns a debrief or a set of notes into structured context while the person who knows is still in the room. The next lead has somewhere to start.

Blindness 02

Network blindness

You know who's in the room and how to move through it. Your team may not. Influence paths, warm introductions, the person who can move an interconnection question forward: they're visible to whoever built the relationships.

A capital project can involve dozens of stakeholder groups: regulators, utilities, contractors, capital partners, internal sponsors.

Influence doesn't travel evenly across them. Some relationships carry weight. Some have gone quiet.

When only one or two people can see that map, the project moves at the speed of their calendar.

What Relatance does here

Orbit maps the network as a field your team can move through, with the strength and history of each relationship attached. Using Sava or a supported AI assistant, anyone on the team can ask who has the strongest route to a permitting official, and why.

Blindness 03

Time blindness

Long-cycle projects have windows, and sequence matters. The right conversation with the wrong person at the wrong moment can cost months.

Most tools show due dates. The project's shape in time usually lives in someone's head.

A comment period opens for 30 days. A queue cluster study has a window. A capital partner's investment committee meets quarterly.

A transformer lead time back-schedules the work behind it. That calendar usually lives with the person running the project.

What Relatance does here

Orbit holds dated events and approaching commitments on the relationships they belong to, so a window shows up while there's still room to act. Helix, now emerging, is built to read the whole network through time: last year below, the next 90 days approaching from up ahead, next year above, rendering long timelines legible.

The common thread

Help experienced judgment travel.

The three blindnesses share one cause. Much of what moves a project is carried by one or two people who know how things work.

That knowledge took years to build. Relatance helps those people extend it to the rest of the team while they're still on the project, so their judgment reaches further and outlasts any one assignment.
